ISLAMABAD, April 30 (Alliance News): Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan on Wednesday inaugurated the ‘Anadolu Creator Lab’ at the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), established in collaboration with Türkiye, and praised the university as a state-of-the-art educational institution of international standard and a source of national pride.
He was accompanied by Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E. Irfan Neziroglu, Director General NUST Projects Maj. Gen. Dr. Saeed-ur-Rehman, and Country Head Dr. Saliha.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister lauded NUST for its global reputation and termed its graduates as ambassadors of academic excellence. He emphasized the need for Pakistan to advance in science and technology to be at par with the developed world, noting that institutions like NUST are essential for national progress.
Abdul Aleem Khan highlighted that Pakistan’s youth possess immense talent and that NUST’s global recognition is a testament to the country’s academic potential.
He reiterated the importance of building stronger linkages between the public and private sectors with institutions like NUST to harness innovation and technology for national development.
During his visit, the minister also toured the National Center for Artificial Intelligence (NCAI), Turkish Aerospace Industries unit, and the Green Tech Hub, where he appreciated the innovative products made from recycled materials.
He expressed admiration for the dedication of NUST faculty and students working on cutting-edge research.
Senior NUST officials, including Director Emaad Ahsan, Dr. Syed Irtza Shah, Mrs. Dilshad Senoel, and Dr. Usman Hassan, briefed the minister on various ongoing projects and international collaborations.
They noted that NUST’s achievements are acknowledged globally and that its outreach extends beyond national boundaries.
Aleem Khan assured full support for future collaborations and encouraged continued academic excellence, stating that his visit reaffirmed confidence in a bright and innovative future for Pakistan.
