Interior Minister Reviews Security Arrangements for Upcoming SCO Summit in Islamabad

Islamabad, Oct 2 (Alliance News): Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi chaired a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Interior to discuss preparations for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, emphasizing the importance of security and organization.

The meeting included key officials, such as the Federal Secretary for Interior, Additional Secretaries, Chief Commissioner of Islamabad, IG Police Islamabad, Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad, Deputy Commandant FC, Sector Commander of Pakistan Rangers, and representatives from various security agencies.

During the discussions, security arrangements for the SCO Summit were thoroughly reviewed.

The Interior Minister approved a comprehensive security plan to ensure foolproof protection during the summit, which will host several heads of state. He described the event as an honor for the entire nation.

To enhance the summit’s environment, Naqvi announced special arrangements for the beautification and cleanliness of Islamabad. He stated that additional personnel from the Pakistan Army, Rangers, Frontier Corps (FC), and Punjab Police would be deployed to ensure security.

The Interior Minister emphasized the need for cooperation among all relevant departments to guarantee the peaceful and successful conduct of the summit.

“We all have to ensure the peaceful and successful conduct of this summit through mutual cooperation,” he remarked.
