ISLAMABAD, March 4 (Alliance News): Federal Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari and Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan Avazbek Atakhanov discussed enhancing bilateral ties, particularly in the energy sector, during a meeting on Tuesday.
Leghari emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to deepening cooperation across various fields, acknowledging the strong educational ties between the two nations, with many Pakistani students studying in Kyrgyzstan.
He briefed the ambassador on ongoing power sector reforms aimed at improving efficiency and sustainability, inviting Kyrgyz investors to explore opportunities in Pakistan’s energy market, including renewable energy projects.
Ambassador Atakhanov appreciated Pakistan’s reform efforts and expressed Kyrgyzstan’s willingness to collaborate in power infrastructure and energy connectivity.
Both sides agreed that enhanced energy cooperation would contribute to regional stability and economic growth, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
