Pakistan, UK Officials Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties

ISLAMABAD, Nov 21( Alliance News): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met Hamish Falconer, the UK’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Pakistan and Afghanistan, on Thursday to discuss enhancing Pak-UK relations and areas of mutual interest.

The meeting, held in Islamabad, included British High Commissioner Jane Marriott and Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK, Dr. Muhammad Faisal.

Minister Naqvi emphasized transitioning the Pak-UK partnership from mutual cooperation to a sustainable economic alliance, calling the UK a “strong and excellent friend of Pakistan.”

Key discussions focused on fostering collaboration, ensuring minority rights, combating social media propaganda, and addressing shared challenges. Naqvi reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to protecting minority communities and ensuring their safety.

Falconer’s visit is seen as a step toward deepening bilateral ties and exploring new avenues of cooperation.
