ISLAMABAD, Sep 2 (Alliance News): The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development has established the Pakistani-German Facilitation & Reintegration Centre (PGFRC) in Lahore, with an advisory desk located at the Overseas Pakistani Foundation (OPF) head office.
This initiative aims to facilitate the reintegration of returning overseas Pakistanis into the social and economic fabric of Pakistan by enhancing their skills for gainful employment.
An official source informed APP that the centre is being implemented in collaboration with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and is supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between GIZ GmbH and the OPF under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development has been signed to provide technical assistance for the facilitation and reintegration of Pakistani workers.
This initiative is expected to generate more job opportunities and improve employability for Pakistani workers, contributing to the country’s long-term economic development.
The centre offers a range of services, including technical and vocational training, advice on job market trends and opportunities, entrepreneurship and start-up support, psychosocial support, information on Pakistan’s health system and living conditions, and guidance on obtaining microfinance and loans.
