ISLAMABAD, May 13 (Alliance News): President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday strongly condemned India’s unprovoked aggression, stating that it had only served to further unite and strengthen the resolve of the Pakistani nation and its armed forces.
In an official statement, President Zardari paid tribute to the martyrs of the Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force who lost their lives while defending the country’s sovereignty.
He emphasized that the nation stood proud of the sacrifices made by its brave sons who laid down their lives in the face of Indian hostility.
“We are proud of the sacrifices of our martyrs. Our brave forces have successfully defended the nation and the country’s integrity. Through Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, our valiant troops shattered the enemy’s arrogance,” the president stated.
He reaffirmed that the people of Pakistan and its armed forces are fully prepared to thwart any future aggression. “We will give a crushing response to every attack on our national security and sovereignty,” he asserted.
President Zardari expressed deep sorrow over the loss of innocent lives, including women and children, during the Indian attacks. He offered heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.
