ISLAMABAD, Feb 12 (Alliance News): Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is arriving in Islamabad today for a two-day visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and economic cooperation.
Accompanied by a high-level delegation of ministers, senior officials, and corporate leaders, President Erdogan will receive a warm welcome upon arrival. His visit follows a recent meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari at Istanbul Airport, where both leaders discussed bilateral ties and mutual interests.
During the visit, President Erdogan will co-chair the seventh meeting of the Pakistan-Türkiye High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC) alongside PM Shehbaz Sharif.
The session will conclude with a joint declaration, and key agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed. The two leaders will also address a joint press conference.
Additionally, President Erdogan will hold separate meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Zardari.
He is also set to speak at the Pakistan-Türkiye Business and Investment Forum, attended by top investors and business leaders from both countries.
The HLSCC, the highest decision-making platform between Pakistan and Türkiye, plays a crucial role in overseeing cooperation in trade, finance, defence, energy, technology, and education.
The seventh session of the council is expected to further deepen ties between the two nations.
