Azerbaijan Highlights Health and Climate Collaboration at COP29

ISLAMABAD, Nov 20 (Alliance News): Azerbaijan’s Health Minister Teymur Musayev met Hans Henri Kluge, WHO Regional Director for Europe, during COP29 in Baku to discuss health and climate initiatives.

Musayev reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s commitment to collaborating with global health institutions, including the WHO.

He highlighted Azerbaijan’s participation in the Alliance for Transformative Action on Climate and Health (ATACH) and its role as a co-organizer from 2024 to 2026.

Hans Henri Kluge commended Azerbaijan’s organization of COP29, stating, “Azerbaijan consistently hosts major international events at the highest level, and COP29 is no exception.”

The meeting underscored growing bilateral cooperation in addressing global health and climate challenges.
