ISLAMABAD, July 11 (Alliance News): A high-level committee has been formed to investigate the fire that broke out at the H-9 Sunday market in Islamabad yesterday. The committee, led by the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad, will work to determine the cause of the fire and assess the damage.
The nine-member committee includes senior officials from the Islamabad Police, Capital Development Authority (CDA), and other relevant departments. They will investigate whether any safety measures were in place to prevent the fire and submit their findings within seven days.
The committee’s tasks include: Assessing the damage caused by the fire
– Determining the cause of the fire – Evaluating whether any protective measures were in place.
The Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad will chair the committee, while the Additional Deputy Commissioner will serve as the Secretary.
Other members include the Deputy Inspector General of Operations, Assistant Inspector General of the Special Branch, and Director of Municipal Services.
The committee’s investigation will provide valuable insights into the fire’s cause and help prevent such incidents in the future. The findings will be submitted within a week, and action will be taken accordingly.
