ISLAMABAD, Aug 15 (Alliance News): The National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has forecast more rain, wind, and thunderstorms in various parts of Pakistan until August 18. The regions likely to be affected include Azad Kashmir’s Neelum and Jhelum river areas, several districts in Balochistan, and parts of Sindh.

The rain could lead to urban flooding and increase water flow in rivers and streams, particularly in the Neelum and Jhelum rivers. Hilly areas may also face landslides, mudflows, and flash floods.

NDMA is urging authorities and the public to take precautions to reduce the risks of flooding and landslides. Emergency Response Teams have been alerted, and resources are being mobilized to respond quickly to any emergencies. Tourists are advised to avoid traveling to these regions during this period.

The public is encouraged to stay informed, follow instructions from local authorities, and download the ‘Pak NDMA Disaster Alert’ mobile app for timely alerts and weather updates.
