Pakistan Ambassador to China Speaks at World Peace Forum

BEIJING, July 8 (Alliance News): Ambassador Khalil Hashmi highlighted the significance of China-Pakistan friendship at the World Peace Forum 2025, organized by Tsinghua University. He emphasized that their relationship, built on mutual respect and equality, is a constant source of peace, development, and stability in South Asia and beyond.

Ambassador Hashmi encouraged cooperative relationships among South Asian nations, citing China’s initiatives (GSI, GDI, and GCI) as a framework for promoting dialogue and cooperation.

He expressed gratitude for China’s support of Pakistan’s development through investments in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which has strengthened their economic ties.

The ambassador also acknowledged China’s consistent stance on the Jammu and Kashmir issue, advocating for a peaceful resolution based on UN principles. He suggested revitalizing the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) with a forward-looking approach aligned with the UN Charter’s purposes and principles.”
