ISLAMABAD, July 12 (Alliance News): National Assembly (NA) Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq emphasized the long-standing friendly relationship between Pakistan and Hungary during a meeting with Hungarian Ambassador to Pakistan, Béla Fazekas, on Friday. The meeting, held at the Parliament House, focused on enhancing bilateral relations for the mutual benefit of both nations.
Speaker Sadiq highlighted the shared commitment of Pakistan and Hungary to global peace and sustainable development. He stressed the importance of strengthening these relations further to benefit the people on both sides.
Discussing parliamentary cooperation, Sadiq underscored the need for regular interactions between the parliaments of both countries. He suggested that parliamentary friendship groups and the exchange of parliamentary delegations would help share and learn from each other’s experiences. He also pointed out the potential for expanding cooperation in trade, investment, and education.
Ambassador Fazekas expressed his gratitude for the speaker’s kind remarks and reiterated Hungary’s view of Pakistan as an important regional stakeholder. He presented an invitation from the Hungarian Speaker, inviting Sadiq to lead a parliamentary delegation to Hungary. The ambassador committed to actively pursuing initiatives aimed at strengthening ties in areas of mutual interest, including parliamentary and cultural exchanges.
