Islamabad, Sep 12 (Alliance News): Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to combating religious extremism and fostering interfaith harmony during a meeting with Rahmat Hindiarta Kusuma, Indonesia’s Chargé d’Affaires, at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Minister Salik emphasized the pressing need for unity and solidarity within the Muslim world, highlighting that the teachings of Islam advocate for peace, brotherhood, and respect for humanity.

He stressed the importance of promoting tolerance and unity among Muslim countries amidst current global challenges.

Kusuma echoed these sentiments, advocating for dialogue between different religions and cultures to foster global peace.

He underscored that tolerance and respect are fundamental aspects of Islamic teachings.

Both parties agreed to enhance cooperation to eradicate extremism and bolster interfaith harmony.
