Punjab, Ethiopia Vow to Boost Ties in Agriculture, Health, Education, and Trade

LAHORE, April 24(Alliance News): Ethiopian Ambassador Dr. Jamal Baker Abdullah called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and discussed matters of mutual interest, including expanding cooperation in various sectors.

Welcoming the ambassador, Maryam Nawaz emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral ties between Pakistan and Ethiopia.

The two sides agreed to enhance collaboration in agriculture, education, health, information technology, and trade.

The chief minister highlighted the potential for productive cooperation and termed the ongoing bilateral consultations a positive development. She also congratulated Ethiopia on the resumption of direct flights to Pakistan, calling it a vital step toward enhancing connectivity and economic engagement.

Ambassador Dr. Abdullah appreciated Punjab’s development vision and welfare initiatives, expressing interest in expanding mutual cooperation across diverse sectors.
