Maryam Nawaz Orders Immediate Inspection of School Buildings

Lahore, Oct 4 (Alliance News): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed officials to seal unsafe school buildings across the province and launch a campaign against encroachments in Muzaffargarh.

The orders were issued during a meeting with members of the Assembly at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Muzaffargarh on Thursday.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed serious concern over the condition of school buildings in Punjab and instructed officials to conduct thorough inspections to identify any unsafe structures.

Schools housed in dilapidated buildings are to be sealed immediately, she said, emphasizing the importance of cleanliness and safety in educational institutions.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister also ordered the construction, repair, and maintenance of major roads in Muzaffargarh, responding to suggestions from Assembly members.

She expressed dissatisfaction over the encroachments and poor sanitation in central areas of the city and directed authorities to initiate a prompt campaign to clear the illegal structures.

Addressing public complaints regarding the Land Record Centers, Maryam Nawaz called for strict action against corrupt officials in the Revenue Department, ensuring transparency in the system.

She also promised to review the proposal for establishing dialysis facilities in the security hospital.

Maryam Nawaz inquired about the prices of essential food items, including bread and flour, and asked for a comprehensive report on the progress of various public initiatives in Muzaffargarh from the Deputy Commissioner.

The Chief Minister reiterated her commitment to improving public services and addressing citizens’ concerns, stressing the need for a strict approach to bring about positive change. She assured that with persistent efforts, long-standing complaints will soon be a thing of the past.

Maryam Nawaz also urged the police to take decisive action against criminals to instill a sense of security among the public and deter criminal activities.
