ISLAMABAD, Aug 20 (Alliance News): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Tuesday the creation of the Pakistan Education Endowment Fund to help children from low-income families pursue higher education.
During a meeting with Israr Khan Kakar, the newly elected President of the Oxford Union at the UK’s Oxford University, PM Shehbaz highlighted that 20% of the fund’s resources have been allocated specifically for the youth of Balochistan.
Welcoming Israr Kakar to the PM House, the Prime Minister praised him for bringing honor to Pakistan and noted that talented young people like him are key to the nation’s future. He commended Kakar for his determination and success in winning the Oxford Union election, particularly as a young man from a less developed area of Balochistan.
Israr Kakar expressed his appreciation for the government’s efforts in youth empowerment and providing equal opportunities. He assured that youth like him are committed to contributing to Pakistan’s progress and prosperity.
