ISLAMABAD, Jul 29 (Alliance News) – On Monday, President Asif Ali Zardari emphasized the need for greater inclusion of women and minorities in government jobs to ensure their full participation in society. He made this call during a meeting with a delegation from the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) led by senior member Akbar Hussain Durrani at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
President Zardari stressed that the FPSC should explore ways to enhance the civil service recruitment process. He pointed out that the Commission plays a crucial role in recruiting civil servants who can improve service delivery and promote good governance in Pakistan.
The President highlighted the importance of making the recruitment process more efficient and transparent. He suggested adopting modern technologies, such as computerized testing, to help select qualified and effective civil servants. According to Zardari, this approach would ensure that candidates who perform well in written examinations are evaluated fairly.
Akbar Hussain Durrani briefed the President on the FPSC’s functions and the challenges it faces in recruiting government servants. Durrani discussed various issues impacting the Commission’s work and its efforts to streamline the recruitment process.
