Quaid-i-Azam University Hosts Inspiring CSS & PMS Panel Discussion

ISLAMABAD, Jan 15 (Alliance News): Quaid-i-Azam University’s Quaidian Counselling and Opportunity Club (QCOC) organized an insightful “CSS & PMS Officers Panel Discussion” at the Sociology Auditorium on Wednesday.

The event featured accomplished civil service officers sharing strategies and experiences to inspire aspirants.

Distinguished panelists included Syeda Maria Zaidi, SP Beenish Fatima, Jawad Hussain Malik, and Hussain Nawaz Adil, who addressed the attendees and provided practical tips for exam preparation and career development.

Syeda Maria Zaidi, Deputy Director at the External Publicity Wing of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, stressed the importance of discipline, understanding key concepts, and regular newspaper reading.

She encouraged students to have a backup plan for career options.

SP Beenish Fatima, Chief Traffic Officer of Rawalpindi, described civil service as a challenging yet rewarding field. She advised students to work on language skills, utilize past papers, and maintain motivation while managing stress effectively.

Jawad Hussain Malik of PMS Batch-11 emphasized public service delivery and interview preparation, urging students to approach civil service with a focus on governance rather than personal gain.

Hussain Nawaz Adil, an alumna of QAU and officer of the 51st CTP, highlighted the role of English proficiency in achieving success in CSS, calling it the foundation of essay and subject paper performance.

The discussion delved into topics like preparation strategies, civil service as a career, and effective time management. The audience, comprising students and faculty, actively participated in a Q&A session, benefiting from the practical advice and motivational stories shared by the panelists.

The event concluded with remarks from QCOC President Abdullah Liaquat, who thanked the participants for their enthusiasm and the panelists for their valuable insights.
