ISLAMABAD, Aug 20 (APP): Chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, emphasized the importance of skill-based education in driving national economic growth during a meeting with the Vice Chancellor of the University of Sargodha, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas.
Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad highlighted that education, combined with skills and technical training, is vital for achieving sustainable and inclusive economic progress. He stressed the need to develop both emerging and existing workforces to attract future investments and encourage self-employment.
He also recommended that management training programs and business incubators be established to support these efforts.
Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas congratulated Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad on his extension as Chairman of the HEC and wished him continued success in his role.
