ISLAMABAD, Jan 25 (Alliance News): Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting, National Heritage, and Culture Attaullah Tarar commended the University of London for its pivotal role in enhancing Pakistan’s education system, particularly in the field of legal education.
Addressing the University of London alumni on Saturday, the minister remarked that the institution has significantly contributed to elevating the standard of education in Pakistan. Reflecting on his own career, Tarar shared his early experiences as a tutor at the university.
He appreciated the University of London’s partnership with Pakistan, emphasizing that its graduates have been making outstanding contributions across various key sectors, including law. “They play a vital role in Pakistan’s development,” he noted, adding that the alumni network of the institution has been growing steadily over the decades.
Highlighting the academic legacy of Pakistan’s founding leaders, Tarar mentioned that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal, educated at Lincoln’s Inn in England, used their legal expertise to shape Pakistan’s future and independence.
The minister also lauded the efforts of Dr. Khadija, CEO of Roots School System, for her contributions to the education sector. He praised the growing representation of women in higher education, expressing encouragement at the increasing number of female graduates from the University of London.
Tarar paid homage to the professors and educators of the University of London, acknowledging their role in providing students with exceptional learning experiences that prepare them for professional success.
