ISLAMABAD, Nov 5 (Alliance News): The federal government has appointed Federal Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Ambreen Jan, as the Acting Managing Director (MD) of Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV).
This appointment was confirmed through a notification issued by the Cabinet Secretariat’s Establishment Division, effective under Clause 10 of the Civil Servants Act, 1973, for a period of three months or until a permanent MD is appointed.
In her new role, Ambreen Jan initiated steps to address management concerns at PTV.
She has ordered an investigation into alleged illegal recruitments within the organization and terminated the contracts of 12 retired employees.
Additionally, the PTV management has been directed to verify the educational qualifications of current employees to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
