ISLAMABAD, Jan 18 (Alliance News): The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police, in collaboration with the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), organized the “Health and Fitness Gala 2025” on Saturday at the Police Lines Headquarters.
Chairman of the Senate, Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, graced the event as the chief guest, emphasizing its importance in promoting health awareness and paying tribute to police martyrs. Under the supervision of Inspector General of Police (IG) Ali Nasir Rizvi, the gala highlighted the sacrifices of the police force in maintaining peace and protecting citizens.
Prominent figures such as Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider, Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa, senior police officers, foreign delegates, and members of the business community attended the event. A large number of police officers and their families also participated.
In his address, Yusuf Raza Gilani recognized the essential role of the police in ensuring public safety, honoring their contributions and sacrifices. He noted that “healthy citizens create a better society” and acknowledged the event’s dedication to the martyrs and their families.
Governor Saleem Haider lauded the police’s efforts in countering terrorism, asserting that their sacrifices would not be in vain.
The gala featured free health check-ups and medications provided by Maroof International Hospital, along with advice on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Shaheen Chemists offered pharmaceutical consultations, while Jacked Nutrition set up fitness awareness booths to educate attendees on supplements, anti-aging solutions, cardiovascular fitness, and physiotherapy.
In a gesture of gratitude, Maroof International Hospital and Shaheen Chemists announced a 50 percent lifetime discount on medicines and treatments for the families of police martyrs.
