ISLAMABAD, March 3 (Alliance News): Muhammad Zamir Asadi, Research Fellow at the China International Press and Communication Center, has stated that China’s annual “Two Sessions” meeting will serve as a crucial platform for deepening economic cooperation between Pakistan and China.

Speaking exclusively to the media on Monday, Asadi highlighted that the joint meeting of China’s National People’s Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) will bolster Chinese investments in Pakistan’s industrial, agricultural, energy, and infrastructure sectors under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

He emphasized that the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) places greater focus on industrial development and technology transfer, which will bring long-term economic benefits to Pakistan. The collaboration is also opening new avenues in the digital economy, green energy, and high-tech industries, providing fresh growth opportunities.

Asadi noted that China’s commitment to shared prosperity will help Pakistan gain economic momentum through increased cooperation. The ongoing development of CPEC’s second phase is expected to revolutionize economic relations between the two countries, with a special emphasis on industrial cooperation, energy, and infrastructure.

He further elaborated that Chinese businesses are keen to invest in Pakistan’s manufacturing sector, boosting employment, technology transfer, and industrial production. Additionally, large-scale infrastructure projects, renewable energy solutions, and high-tech industries will receive Chinese investment, enhancing Pakistan’s position in global trade.

Zamir Asadi concluded that the ‘Two Sessions’ meeting will yield positive outcomes, strengthening Pakistan-China relations and accelerating Pakistan’s economic progress.
