BEIJING, April 11 (Alliance News): China’s pioneering Production-Living-Ecological technology is gaining global traction, with projects already underway in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai, UAE, as confirmed by Sichuan-based KeDao Agri at the China International Environmental Protection Exhibition and Conference (CIEPEC).
KeDao Agri, known for its cutting-edge ecological agriculture innovations, is currently preparing project models and site selections abroad.
The company’s approach integrates architecture with ecological agriculture to maximize efficiency, especially in arid regions like the Middle East where water conservation and fresh produce are critical.
A KeDao Agri representative explained that their six-story research building, occupying just 0.6 acres, achieves the equivalent of 5 acres of productive space through wall and rooftop farming, underground breeding, and automated organic waste systems.
The structure also supports biogas energy from livestock waste, achieving zero carbon emissions and contributing to carbon reduction goals.
CIEPEC 2025 drew more than 1,000 companies showcasing innovations in AI, green technology, low-carbon transitions, and ecological modernization.
Chinese enterprises demonstrated significant achievements, such as BYD’s electric buses operating in Latin America and Europe, helping to lower global carbon emissions.
According to official figures released at the conference, China’s ecological and environmental protection industry has maintained an annual revenue exceeding 2 trillion yuan. By the end of 2024, national carbon trading transactions had reached 43 billion yuan, and China now ranks among the top globally in clean energy and clean steel production.
Furthermore, the International Energy Agency (IEA) reported that China’s overseas renewable energy investments surpassed USD 50 billion in 2023. The country has established environmental cooperation with over 100 nations and signed more than 50 Green Belt and Road agreements.
