Imran Khan Issues Instructions on Opposition Alliance, Says PTI Leader

RAWALPINDI, March 5 (Alliance News): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has issued instructions regarding Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman, which will be conveyed soon, PTI Secretary General Barrister Salman Akram Raja said on Tuesday.

Speaking to the media outside Central Jail after meeting Khan, Raja stated that discussions were held on the opposition alliance but refrained from disclosing details. He emphasised that PTI respects Fazlur Rehman and wants him to join the alliance.

Addressing rumors about Khan’s health, Raja dismissed false reports, confirming that the former prime minister was in good condition following a routine check-up. He also refuted claims that Khan was being deprived of suhoor or restricted from performing religious activities.

Regarding a controversial statement by Barrister Saif, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister’s adviser, Raja said PTI spokesperson Sheikh Waqas Akram had been asked to address the matter. He also confirmed that Khan had no complaints about the party, and discussions focused on future strategies.

For legal matters, Chaudhry Zaheer Abbas has been appointed as the legal representative for both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, with Faisal Chaudhry instructed to transfer all petitions to him. Meanwhile, Niazullah Niazi has been appointed as Khan’s spokesperson, and Bushra Bibi has designated four focal persons for her legal and political affairs.

Imran Khan’s family members, including Aleema Khan, Dr Uzma Khan, Noreen Khanum, and Qasim Khan, visited him and Bushra Bibi at Adiala Jail for an hour and fifteen minutes. Later, PTI lawyers, including Barrister Salman Safdar, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, and Barrister Ali Zafar, met with them for about half an hour.

Speaking to the media, Aleema Khan denied rumors of Imran Khan suffering from an ear or brain infection. She criticised social media operatives spreading misinformation and questioned their sources. However, she condemned authorities for not allowing Khan’s personal doctor to visit him and restricting his communication with his children.
