Interior Minister Denies Attending Anti-China Event in US

ISLAMABAD, Jan 26 (Alliance News): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has dismissed allegations of participating in an anti-China event during his visit to the United States, calling the claims “venomous propaganda.”

Speaking to the media in Houston, Naqvi clarified that his attendance at a youth event was misrepresented. He stated that the purpose of his US visit was to collaborate with American politicians on an effective counterterrorism strategy.

“Such propaganda holds no significance. I did not attend any anti-China event,” the minister emphasized.

Naqvi underscored the collective responsibility of combating terrorism, affirming that anyone taking up arms against Pakistan would face decisive action. He also expressed concern over efforts to incite US lawmakers against Pakistan, urging politicians to prioritize the nation’s interests over divisive narratives.

The interior minister highlighted the positive outcome of his meetings with members of the US Congress, reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to fostering international partnerships to counter terrorism effectively.
