Interior Minister Visits Key Islamabad Interchange Projects

ISLAMABAD, Dec 11 (Alliance News): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi inspected the construction sites of the F-8 Exchange Chowk and Serena Chowk Interchanges on Monday to evaluate progress and ensure timely completion of the projects.

During his visit, Naqvi announced that the underpass at the F-8 Exchange Chowk Interchange will be opened to traffic on December 25, lauding the contractor and Islamabad administration for completing it in just 43 days.

The full interchange project is scheduled for inauguration in the second week of February, while the Serena Chowk Interchange will become operational by the first week of January, completed within 60 days.

Naqvi directed construction teams to maintain round-the-clock operations to meet the ambitious deadlines. He met with workers on-site, commending their hard work and urging them to sustain their dedication.

“Our aim is to provide world-class facilities to Islamabad’s citizens,” Naqvi said, emphasizing the projects’ role in significantly enhancing traffic flow in the city.

Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa briefed the minister on the progress of both projects. Senior CDA officials, the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad, and project contractors were also present during the visit.
