Iran Seeks Stronger Ties with Japan, Says FM Araqchi

TEHRAN, May 14 (Alliance News): Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has emphasized the need to further strengthen bilateral relations with Japan, particularly in economic and trade sectors.

During a meeting in Tehran with Japan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Namazu Hiroyuki — who is visiting Iran for the 33rd Iran-Japan Vice-Ministerial Consultation — Araqchi highlighted the long-standing friendly ties between the two nations and Iran’s readiness to expand cooperation.

The Iranian top diplomat welcomed deeper dialogue and collaboration with Japan not only on bilateral issues but also on regional and international matters of mutual concern.

Araqchi reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to bolstering relations in all fields and acknowledged Japan as a valuable partner in global diplomacy.
