CDA to Launch Feeder Bus Mobile App and Improve Public Transport Facilities

ISLAMABAD, Jan 15 (Alliance News): Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Muhammad Ali Randhawa has directed the launch of a mobile application for Islamabad’s feeder bus service, aiming to enhance commuter convenience.

During a review meeting on feeder bus routes, Randhawa emphasized the need for a card system enabling weekly and monthly passes for passengers.

He instructed the immediate planning of feeder bus operations on multiple routes, including Tarnol to Secretariat, Bhara Kahu to Pirwadhai, and Rawat Chowk to Secretariat.

Randhawa highlighted the importance of designing routes that pass near Islamabad’s marakiz, universities, hospitals, and other key locations. He also called for subsidies for senior citizens and deserving individuals to ensure an inclusive transport system.

Additionally, the chairman directed the development of modern facilities at bus terminals, the introduction of digital advertisement boards, and the use of environmentally friendly practices in the transport network.

He reaffirmed the CDA’s commitment to providing high-quality, cost-effective public transportation to meet the city’s growing needs.
