ISLAMABAD, Oct 23 (Alliance News):Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi led crucial meetings at the Central Police Office in Islamabad to discuss the city’s law and order situation and traffic management.
IGP Rizvi convened several important meetings attended by senior officials, including SSP Operations Arslan Shahzaib and Chief Traffic Officer Muhammad Sarfraz Virk. The discussions focused on crime rates and strategies to enhance public safety in the federal capital.
During the meetings, Rizvi emphasized the need for effective measures to combat crime, including theft, robbery, and drug trafficking. He instructed zonal officers and SHOs to conduct organized operations in crime hotspots and implement anti-crime initiatives within a specified timeframe.
The IGP highlighted that the primary goal of the Islamabad Capital Territory Police is to protect the lives, property, and dignity of citizens.
He urged all police personnel to maintain vigilant patrols throughout the city and work diligently to eliminate criminal activities.
Rizvi also addressed traffic management, directing the Chief Traffic Officer to improve the traffic system in Islamabad. He called for enhanced enforcement of traffic laws, initiatives to prevent accidents, and continued public awareness campaigns on traffic regulations.
Additionally, he instructed traffic police to ensure their presence during peak hours to facilitate safe movement and maintain traffic flow.
To minimize traffic accidents, Rizvi emphasized that legal action must be taken against drivers who violate traffic laws.
