Pakistan Wins “Best Pavilion” Award at Global Sourcing Expo

ISLAMABAD, Nov 21(Alliance News): Under the leadership of Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, Pakistan has won the prestigious “Best Pavilion” award at the Global Sourcing Expo held in Melbourne from November 19-21, 2024.

The award highlights Pakistan’s exceptional representation at the largest exhibition for textiles, leather, and home textiles in the Oceania region. The Pakistan pavilion stood out for its design, engaging displays, and the high quality of its products, amidst fierce competition from countries like China, India, and Vietnam.

Minister Khan’s strategic direction played a key role in Pakistan’s success, as he emphasized creating world-class pavilions to showcase the country’s diverse export potential. The pavilion featured 21 companies sponsored by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), focusing on textiles and leather, sectors contributing significantly to Pakistan’s $300 million annual exports to Australia.

High Commissioner Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri inaugurated the pavilion and received the award on behalf of TDAP. Minister Khan congratulated all involved, stating, “This award reflects our commitment to excellence and innovation in global markets.”

This achievement strengthens Pakistan’s position in global trade and furthers efforts to enhance the quality and reach of its exports.
