Pakistan, Portugal Seek Stronger Bilateral Ties

LISBON, Feb 12 (Alliance News): President Asif Ali Zardari and Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa have emphasized the need to enhance bilateral cooperation across various fields.

During their meeting at the Palácio Nacional de Belém, President Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with Portugal, highlighting the friendly relations between the two nations. Both leaders discussed ways to boost cultural and people-to-people exchanges.

President Zardari invited his Portuguese counterpart to visit Pakistan, noting that such a visit would further cement bilateral relations and create new opportunities for collaboration. The year 2025 will mark 75 years of diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Portugal.
