JEDDAH, Jan 13 (Alliance News): Pakistan’s Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, signed the annual Hajj agreement for 2025 on Monday.
Under the agreement, 179,210 Pakistani pilgrims will have the opportunity to perform Hajj in 2025. The agreement promises to provide these pilgrims with improved facilities, including special accommodation in Mina at reduced rates.
Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah assured of all possible support to offer superior services for Pakistani pilgrims, which will include a short Hajj program, easier travel options, and a mobile app to facilitate pilgrims with real-time information.
Chaudhry Salik Hussain commended the efforts of the Saudi leadership and pledged to further strengthen bilateral ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, especially in areas of investment and cooperation.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from both countries, and further agreements on pilgrim services will be discussed at an upcoming international Hajj conference and expo in Jeddah.
