ISLAMABAD, March 5 (Alliance News): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) has highlighted Pakistan’s diplomatic and economic achievements over the past year, emphasizing high-level engagements, strengthened international relations, and enhanced global investment opportunities.
Pakistan successfully hosted the Shanghai Cooperation Organization-Council of Heads of Government in Islamabad and expanded global ties through official visits by the prime minister to China, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
The country secured a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for 2025-2026 and led the adoption of a UN resolution against Islamophobia.
The government reaffirmed its support for the Jammu & Kashmir and Palestine causes at international platforms, including the UN and OIC. Pakistan called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and a lasting resolution based on pre-1967 borders with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as Palestine’s capital.
On the economic front, Pakistan attracted foreign investments through the Special Investment Facilitation Council while strengthening trade and commercial ties.
The launch of the online Apostille certificate portal and over 50 cultural events worldwide, including Qawwali performances and fashion shows, further enhanced Pakistan’s global image.
During the Kyrgyzstan student crisis and international boat tragedies, Pakistani missions played a vital role in assisting affected citizens. Additionally, the country promoted tourism and cultural collaboration through the “From Gandhara to the World” symposium.
