ISLAMABAD, March 8 (Alliance News): Managing Director PTV and Secretary Information and Broadcasting, Ms. Ambreen Jan, paid tribute to Pakistani women on International Women’s Day, acknowledging their outstanding contributions to the nation’s progress.
She emphasized the importance of equal educational opportunities for girls to ensure Pakistan’s growth and prosperity.
In a special message on PTV News, she declared, “Women are the backbone of our society, and their empowerment is key to a prosperous Pakistan.”
Urging parents to treat daughters equally and provide them with the same educational opportunities as boys, she cited Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s vision, highlighting Fatima Jinnah’s role in Pakistan’s independence.
Ms. Jan also commended the Information Department’s progress in women’s empowerment, noting that the sector now has a dedicated Women Empowerment Department, reflecting a more inclusive and equitable society.
She concluded by celebrating Pakistani women’s talent, hard work, and rapid progress, recognizing their valuable contributions to the nation’s development and prosperity.
