Punjab Government Launches Laptop Scheme for Students

LAHORE, March 03 (Alliance News): The Punjab government has announced the launch of the Chief Minister Laptop Scheme, providing a significant opportunity for students across the province.

The Higher Education Department has made the official application link available on its website, allowing BS students to apply online.

Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, while unveiling the scheme, stated that 110,000 latest-generation laptops would be distributed among students of public sector universities. First and second-semester BS students are eligible to apply for the program.

According to the minister, the laptops will be Core i7, 13th generation models. The online application link, available at https://cmlaptophed.punjab.gov.pk/, provides detailed information regarding the application process.

Merit criteria have been set at 65% for BS students and 80% for medical students, determined based on their intermediate examination results. The minister added that once the application portal is activated, students can submit their applications online.
