ISLAMABAD, May 12 (Alliance News): Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi and WAPDA Chairman Engineer Lt. Gen. (R) Sajjad Ghani met on Monday to explore enhanced institutional cooperation aimed at addressing Pakistan’s critical energy and infrastructure challenges.
During the meeting, Hanif Abbasi emphasized that close coordination between Pakistan Railways and WAPDA could significantly contribute to economic growth and timely execution of development projects.
He termed the collaboration a strategic move to optimize national resources for infrastructure improvement.
The minister reiterated his commitment to leveraging the technical expertise and logistical capabilities of both institutions for joint ventures.
“This partnership is a step forward in ensuring sustainable development and energy efficiency across the country,” he said.
WAPDA Chairman Sajjad Ghani welcomed the initiative and pledged full cooperation. He stated that WAPDA is prepared to work jointly with Pakistan Railways on innovative projects to help mitigate the energy crisis and improve transmission systems.
Both sides agreed that institutional synergy is essential for improving service delivery and achieving national development goals, particularly in energy and transportation sectors.
