Security Forces Kill Three Khawarij in Bannu Operation

RAWALPINDI, Nov 22 (Alliance News): Security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation in Bannu, killing three Khawarij and injuring two, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered during the operation. The ISPR stated that the Khawarij were involved in attacks on security forces and targeted killings of innocent civilians.

A sanitization operation is ongoing in the area to eliminate remaining threats, with security forces reaffirming their commitment to eradicating terrorism from the country.

Leaders Praise Security Forces

President Asif Ali Zardari lauded the bravery of the security forces for their decisive action and emphasized the continued efforts to eliminate the “Fitnat al-Khawarij.”

Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif also praised the operation, reiterating the government’s resolve to combat terrorism. He stated, “The nefarious intentions of these enemies of humanity will be crushed, and our war against terrorism will continue until its complete eradication.”

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi commended the professionalism of the forces, describing Khawarij terrorists as a burden on the nation. He called for unity to completely eliminate this menace.
