ISLAMABAD, Aug 8 (Alliance News): The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting held a Quiz Show on Thursday at the Information Service Academy (ISA) to celebrate Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day. The event brought together students, teachers from various government schools, and officials from the Ministry.
During the event, Executive Director General of ISA, Arshad Munir, highlighted the importance of the quiz in deepening students’ understanding of Pakistan’s history. He praised the students for their participation and emphasized the significance of remembering the sacrifices made by the country’s founders for independence.
Munir spoke about Pakistan’s creation on August 14, 1947, under the leadership of Quaid-i-Azam, and expressed pride in the new generation’s knowledge of the nation’s history. He also acknowledged the achievements of Pakistanis in various fields, including sports, IT, and education.
The quiz featured twelve intermediate-level students from Islamabad’s Model Colleges, managed by the Federal Directorate of Education. Six teams competed in the qualifying round, with three advancing to the final. Islamabad Model College for Women (Post Graduate) F10/2 secured the first position after a fierce competition.
Winners were awarded trophies, cash prizes, and certificates of appreciation for their achievements.
