ATTOCK, Nov 25 (Alliance News): At least 23 policemen were injured during clashes with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers at Ghazi Barotha Bridge in Attock, police officials reported.
The violence reportedly occurred when the convoy of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur attacked law enforcement personnel during the night.
The injured officers were immediately shifted to a hospital for treatment.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz condemned the attacks on Punjab Police, expressing regret over the injuries sustained by more than 20 officers.
Maryam Nawaz stated that incidents of firing occurred at Ghazi Barotha, Mianwali, and the Hazara Motorway, with suspects reportedly seen carrying short machine guns, tear gas, knives, and wearing masks.
