AJK President Invites Chinese Companies to Invest in State’s Resources

MIRPUR (AJK), Jan 21 (Alliance News): Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry has called on Chinese businesses to explore and invest in the state’s economic sectors, highlighting abundant opportunities in tourism, mining, and infrastructure.

In a meeting on Tuesday with Li Ping, Director of Yunnan Sunny Company, at the Jammu Kashmir House in Islamabad, Barrister Chaudhry emphasized the region’s peaceful and investment-friendly environment, stating, “AJK has vast reserves of precious stones, including rubies, and numerous prospects for tourism development.”

He assured Chinese investors of comprehensive support and facilities from the AJK government.

Li Ping briefed the President on his company’s expertise in tunnels, highways, and large-scale construction projects. He expressed interest in initiating projects in AJK and extended an invitation for the President to visit China, which was accepted.

President Chaudhry expressed satisfaction with Yunnan Sunny Company’s interest and reaffirmed the AJK government’s commitment to welcoming foreign investments.
