Dar, Aragchi Discuss Enhanced Pakistan-Iran Ties

MASHHAD, Dec 3 (Alliance News): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar held a bilateral meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi on Tuesday, focusing on strengthening cooperation between Pakistan and Iran.

The meeting, held on the sidelines of the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) Council of Ministers’ session, covered areas of mutual interest and discussions on regional and global developments.

Senator Dar arrived in Mashhad on Monday to represent Pakistan at the ECO meeting, where he aims to reaffirm Pakistan’s commitment to the ECO Charter.

He will also highlight the importance of enhanced connectivity in the region through expanded road and rail networks, eased visa policies, and simplified border procedures to boost sustainable growth and regional geo-economic potential.
