ISLAMABAD, Oct 16 (Alliance News): Minister for Petroleum, Dr. Musadik Malik, expressed optimism about the 23rd Council of Heads of Government (CHG) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, underscoring its potential to enhance economic development and stability across the region.
In an exclusive interview with Alliance News, Malik emphasized the importance of regional cooperation and drew parallels with successful international frameworks like the European Union and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

He noted that by strengthening trade and cultural ties, SCO member states can open up new avenues for growth and development.
“There is a tremendous opportunity for these countries to evolve strategies through dialogue. Together, we can boost economic activity, create businesses, and provide more job opportunities for the youth,” Malik said, outlining the summit’s key goals.
He also encouraged key players, particularly China, to introduce innovative proposals to enhance integration into global value chains, further unlocking the region’s economic potential.
On the participation of India’s Minister of External Affairs, S. Jaishankar, Malik welcomed India’s role within the SCO and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to constructive engagement within the forum.
