ISLAMABAD, Feb 13 (Alliance News): Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was accorded a guard of honour at the Prime Minister’s House upon his arrival for a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Prime Minister Shehbaz received President Erdogan at the main entrance of the PM House. As Erdogan’s motorcade moved along Constitution Avenue, it was greeted with Pakistani and Turkish flags and welcoming banners. Traditional performances by local artists, including folk dances and a symbolic whirling dervishes display, added to the cultural reception.
At the formal ceremony, the national anthems of both countries were played as the dignitaries stood at the salute dais.
