ISLAMABAD, Nov 7 (Alliance News): Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting, National Heritage, and Culture Attaullah Tarar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Faisal Karim Kundi met to discuss measures for addressing the security situation in KP and strengthening collaborative efforts for regional development.
Expressing concerns over the deteriorating law and order in the province, the leaders criticized the provincial government’s handling of security and underscored the importance of a federal-provincial approach to enhance stability.
During their meeting at the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, they reviewed strategies to improve security, focusing on economic development initiatives and youth engagement in positive activities.
Governor Kundi emphasized steering KP’s youth toward productive paths and away from divisive politics.
Minister Tarar assured that the federal government is committed to supporting KP in achieving improved security and emphasized that providing quality education is equally vital.
He noted efforts to establish Danish Schools and promote educational programs across the province, alongside initiatives to expand cultural activities.
Additionally, both leaders discussed the creation of a media hub in Dera Ismail Khan to aid the region’s development and bring advancements in information dissemination. Proposals were also put forth to promote educational and cultural activities throughout KP.
Tarar reiterated the federal government’s dedication to ensuring the welfare and rights of KP’s citizens, stating, “The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are our brothers, and their welfare is our top priority.”
