FGEHA and ICT Reclaim 90 Kanal in Anti-Encroachment Drive in Sector G-14

ISLAMABAD, Oct 07 (Alliance News): In a comprehensive two-day anti-encroachment operation, the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) and Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration reclaimed 90 kanal of illegally occupied land in Sector G-14.

According to FGEHA Director General Captain (R) Zafar Iqbal, the operation emphasized a strict zero-tolerance policy toward encroachments to ensure effective land use and provide housing facilities along with improved healthcare infrastructure.

On the first day of the operation, seven illegal houses were demolished on a hospital plot in G-14 Markaz, and two unauthorized structures were cleared from plots on Street 118.

The second day saw significant progress with the clearance of 12 plots on Street 65-A, 16 plots on Street 64-D, and several others across the sector.

The operation was prompted by intelligence reports of encroachments on land valued in the billions, intended for healthcare infrastructure. FGEHA carried out thorough assessments, coordinated a safe operation, and deployed heavy machinery, issuing legal notices in advance.
