Imran Khan Threatens Civil Disobedience Movement Over Key Demands

ISLAMABAD, Dec 6 (Alliance News): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has warned the government of launching a civil disobedience movement if his demands for the release of political prisoners and the formation of a judicial commission to probe crackdowns on PTI supporters are not met.

Imran Khan announced the formation of a five-member negotiation committee to engage with the federal government.

He set December 14 as the deadline for his demands, failing which he plans to initiate the movement.

Additionally, a rally in Peshawar on December 13 will pay tribute to those he claims were killed during protests. Khan also criticized the judiciary for its inaction on alleged human rights violations against PTI workers.
