Independence Day: PM Calls for Unity and Focus on Nation’s Growth

ISLAMABAD, Aug 14 (Alliance News): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the nation on Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, calling on the youth to play a vital role in the country’s future.

He urged young people to focus on their education and skills, warning them against being influenced by negative forces seeking to harm the country.

During a ceremony celebrating Independence Day, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of the next few years for Pakistan’s development. He warned that enemies are using digital tools to disrupt progress and urged the youth to stay focused on building a better future.

Shehbaz Sharif also paid tribute to the sacrifices of the country’s forefathers and heroes of the Pakistan Movement. He acknowledged the challenges Pakistan has faced over the past 77 years but praised the resilience of its people in overcoming difficulties.

The Prime Minister highlighted ongoing issues such as inflation, high electricity bills, and unemployment, expressing his commitment to providing relief to the people. He promised that the government is working to reduce electricity tariffs and announced that he would soon present a five-year economic plan.

In his speech, he also honored Pakistan’s Olympic hero Arshad Nadeem and condemned Israeli actions against Palestinians, expressing solidarity with the people of Palestine and Kashmir.
