India’s propaganda fails to divide Pakistani nation: Intelligence sources

ISLAMABAD, May 5 (Alliance News): Pakistan’s intelligence sources have revealed that India launched a propaganda campaign following the Pahalgam attack in a failed attempt to create discord between the Pakistani military and the public, particularly targeting supporters of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

According to informed officials, India’s strategy was to exploit political divisions within Pakistan, hoping PTI supporters would turn against the military and its leadership.

The campaign also allegedly aimed at isolating Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir by circulating baseless allegations in Indian media, including a targeted article by India Today.

However, the attempt was unsuccessful. A senior intelligence official stated, “India has failed miserably in its malicious attempt. The Pakistani nation, as always, stands united behind its armed forces.”

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan affirmed his party’s full support for the armed forces, rejecting any Indian claims suggesting otherwise. “There are no ifs and buts — PTI stands with the Pakistan Army against Indian aggression,” he said, clarifying that PTI’s boycott was only against the government’s briefing format.

“We demanded an All Parties Conference (APC) due to the gravity of the situation, including India’s suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty — which is an act of war,” he added.

Gohar also dismissed Indian reports of abuse against PTI founder Imran Khan in Adiala jail as “completely fabricated” and part of a malicious campaign to divide the nation.

Former prime minister Imran Khan also responded strongly from jail. “When the false-flag Pulwama operation occurred, we offered full cooperation, but India never provided any evidence,” he stated.

“The Pahalgam incident is a repeat of the same playbook. Blaming Pakistan without investigation is reckless.”

Khan emphasized that while peace remains Pakistan’s priority, it should not be mistaken for weakness. “Pakistan responded in 2019 and remains fully capable of doing so again. We continue to support the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination in accordance with UN resolutions.”

India’s frustration over the unified Pakistani response led to the blocking of Imran Khan’s official X (formerly Twitter) account in India, along with others who echoed similar sentiments.

The Pakistani Senate has unanimously passed a resolution condemning India’s baseless accusations, with support from all political parties, including PTI, reinforcing national unity.\
