Ishaq Dar Attends ECO Ministers’ Meeting in Mashhad

ISLAMABAD, Dec 2 (Alliance News): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar departed on Monday for a two-day official visit to Mashhad, Iran, to attend the 28th Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).

During the ministerial meeting, DPM Dar will reaffirm Pakistan’s commitment to the ECO Charter and emphasize the importance of enhanced regional connectivity.

His address will focus on advancing the development of road and rail networks, easing visa regimes, and simplifying border procedures to promote sustainable growth and harness the region’s geo-economic potential.

Dar will also express Pakistan’s concerns regarding hostilities in the Middle East, which threaten regional peace and stability.

On this occasion, the deputy prime minister is expected to sign the “Charter for ECO Clean Energy Center” and engage in bilateral discussions with other ministers and dignitaries on the meeting’s sidelines.
